Callidus Engineering provided the design and construction of new electrical service entrance including a new London Hydro underground 27.6 kV loop feed with 1500kVa to 600V pad mount transformer, new 600V, 1800A, service entrance switch board in new electrical room extension built within live outdoor substation enclosure. Removal of outdoor substation when new service connected. Design and construction of new generator room in place of substation and 2 new 500kW diesel generators paralleled with existing 500kW generator with upgrades and new auto transfer switches to back up entire facility. Construction was sequenced to minimize down time and use existing generator for temporary power.

Callidus Engineering was prime consultant with structural sub consultants and provided initial feasibility study with options for generator placement, Mechanical, electrical and architectural design and construction sequencing with input from structural engineer. Permit submission, prepared bid document, conduct contractor walk through and review bids. Construction administration and review with structural engineers input. Input and coordination with owners commissioning agent.
