What a view! 🌊 Earlier this week, we stopped by to observe a crane lift at 2 Mowat Street in Kingston. The rooftop make-up air unit had served its time and was ready for retirement after years of reliable service. With the old unit at the end of its life, this replacement ensures the building's ventilation systems will continue to operate smoothly.Check out these incredible shots and see the lift in action! 📸#EngineeringExcellence #YGK #CraneLift #ConstructionLife #BuildingBetter ...
Did you know that buildings account for approximately 18% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions? With public support for net-zero building codes ranging from 60% to 77% across the provinces, the A/E/C industry has a unique opportunity to lead the way in sustainable development. Beyond environmental benefits, enhanced energy efficiency means lower long-term operational costs for developers and building operators, making this shift both a sustainable and financially smart move.As part of our commitment to this goal, Callidus Engineering recently sponsored the Kingston Climate Expo—an important platform for advancing the conversation on sustainability and net-zero efforts. Together, we’re working towards building a better, greener tomorrow.#EngineeringExcellence #NetZero #Sustainability #YGK ...

When it comes to transforming empty spaces into dynamic recreational hubs, our recent project at Xtreme Trampoline Park in Kingston stands as a prime example. 🏢 This 24,000 sq. ft. tenant fit-up involved comprehensive mechanical and electrical work, turning a blank commercial space into a vibrant, high-energy facility. Our team delivered detailed HVAC system designs, including ductwork layouts, ventilation balancing, and the installation of custom drum louvers to ensure optimal airflow throughout the facility. On the plumbing side, we incorporated essential components such as Zurn grease interceptors to support the facility’s food service areas. Each aspect was meticulously designed and implemented to sustain a high-occupancy, high-activity environment.By creating spaces like this, we’re not just overcoming engineering challenges—we’re contributing to community growth. Facilities that encourage children to stay active and exercise play an essential role in promoting health and well-being for future generations. 💪This project showcases the diversity of sectors we engage in, from recreational to commercial and residential builds. 🎯#EngineeringExcellence #Teamwork #MechanicalDesign #FireProtection #YGK #BuildingSolutions #CommunityImpact ...
