Derek Reid has had a passion for buildings and making things work from a very young age. Today, he considers his role at Callidus a dream job. Since joining the Callidus family in 2006, Derek is a well-rounded and experienced project manager and team leader.  He is an owner of the firm and manages our Kingston office.

Derek has worked on a wide range of project types, both large and small, including multi-unit residential, commercial, institutional, industrial and more. He has taken courses at Western University to advance his project management skills, is a member of ASHRAE and OACETT and a registered BCIN designer. Derek specializes in multi-unit residential design, government and educational projects, and project management.

Outside of work, Derek is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. Derek is also a bit of a news junkie and avid consumer of books and podcasts.
