DESCRIPTION
CONSULTING SERVICES
Callidus provided mechanical engineering services for the project. LEED Silver (certification pending) was achieved by implementing high efficiency boiler plant system for hot water infloor heating in the apparatus bays, makeup air units with condensing burners and a combination of Dedicated Outdoor Air System and Variable Refrigerant Flow fan coil system for the office and administration areas. Ultra-low flow plumbing fixtures were selected to reduce water consumption by the building. A BAS system to monitor performance of the building and energy consumption was included as well. The project relied on an integrated design process where the team evaluated LEED scorecard options and selected which points to target. Energy modelling was completed in the preliminary design phase to help guide design decisions
