The Atlohsa Family Healing Services in conjunction with the City of London have provided the first Indigenous-led shelter beds by providing a Hub on the grounds of Parkwood. The new housing hub includes 12 individual sleeping cabins and a central building for supportive services including washrooms/showers, kitchen, medical clinic and laundry facilities.

CONSULTING SERVICES
Callidus Engineering provided the mechanical and electrical engineering and construction services for the project. The site design included electrical power distribution from the existing central building for power to each of the shelters, communication services to each shelter, and upgrades to exterior lighting. The interior electrical scope of work included power, fire alarm, lighting, communications and emergency lighting systems for the building renovations. The mechanical scope of work include plumbing and HVAC design for the renovations including design of an NFPA compliant commercial cooking hood required for public food service.
