Built in 1832, this Museum, which is operated by the City of Toronto, is a piece of colonial history. With thousands of visitors each year, upgrades for both energy conservation and building longevity were required.

CONSULTING SERVICES
Callidus Engineering provided the mechanical and electrical systems design for the project. Electrical design included the replacement and upgrade of the fire alarm panels and systems, and integration of existing devices, emergency call system for the barrier free washroom, electrical connection for a new lift, and LED lighting upgrades including occupancy sensing lighting controls were also implemented. The mechanical scope included removing the existing HVAC and replacing it with ductless split systems, zone dampers for temperature controls and a new furnace with new ductwork to suit the existing building and keep the existing floor grilles and diffusers in place. This project also included upgrades to the Fire protection system and a new sprinkler layout.
