DESCRIPTION
CONSULTING SERVICES
Callidus Engineering provided a complete lighting design for the replacement or retrofit of various incandescent, fluorescent and Metal Halide fixtures, and converting them to LED alternatives. This project also included the installation of occupancy sensing controls in the areas not exposed to inmates or jeopardizing the safety of any staff. Some of the design challenges were in specifying maximum security fixtures from limited options. The existing lighting was cast in place fixtures in the ceiling slabs. Callidus specified new surface mounted fixtures that performed better than the existing fixtures enabling the facility to install fewer fixtures but increase the performance in the cell areas at the same time.
